The NSU University Sharks will square off against the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. NSU University is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
On Monday, NSU University needed a bit of extra time to put away Nova. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Titans 5-4.
Mark Manuel made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other pitching news, Aidan Jacobs looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Devin Mila was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradyn Potter, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Dr. Joaquin Garcia was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Nova, falling 8-1. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Dr. Joaquin Garcia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Van Kamen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
NSU University pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
