Lakeland's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Naniewicz, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Talin Vitzakovitch was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Carbondale Area, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Lakeland and Mid Valley will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Mid Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lakeland in Pennsylvania (Mid Valley is ranked 154th, while Lakeland is ranked 534th). As for Carbondale Area, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Riverside at 7:15 p.m.
