The Jubilee Brownsville Titans will head out on the road to take on the Hidalgo Pirates at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jubilee Brownsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Hidalgo likes a good challenge.
Jubilee Brownsville pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Port Isabel 63-57. Despite their loss, Jubilee Brownsville saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Zarate, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Hector Cortina, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hidalgo didn't have too much trouble with Grulla on the road on Friday as they won 47-31.

Jubilee Brownsville was able to grind out a solid victory over Hidalgo when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 46-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jubilee Brownsville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
