It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Liberty County Bulldogs had no problem doing just that on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-26 victory over the Pirates. Winning may never get old, but Liberty County sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Gabriella Flowers was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Caleigh Peddie was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Sneads' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamea Williams, who scored 11 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Bellamy, who scored five points along with two steals.
Liberty County is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Sneads, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.
Liberty County will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th. Blountstown will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. Sneads does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
