Advance's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maggie Stubenrauch, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Stubenrauch has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Rylee Roper was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Advance and bumps their season record up to 7-12. As for Charleston, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Advance will face off against the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Holcomb is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Charleston, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Portageville will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive.
