Despite the defeat, Edgewood saw an underclassman step up: Brayden Wasdin went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wasdin has scored all season. Jack Christy was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Even though they lost, Edgewood were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Edgewood has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Space Coast, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.
Edgewood will be playing at home against Merritt Island at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Merritt Island is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Space Coast, they will head out on the road to challenge Titusville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
