The third road match was the charm for the Socastee Braves, as they earned their first road win of the season. They had just enough and edged Waccamaw out 39-36. That's another feather in the cap for Socastee, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Anna Reese Pratt was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for she. The team also got some help courtesy of Princess Collins, who scored two points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Socastee's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Waccamaw, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Socastee will face off against Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Waccamaw won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Andrews at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th.
