Matthew Moret Turns in Season-Best Performance
Mount Vernon was led to victory by Matthew Moret, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Moret picked up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown.
Moret must have Falls Church's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Moret picked up 97 receiving yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Jaguars duked it out back in October of 2023.
