Madison-Grant is 0-10 against Mississinewa since April of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Argylls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Madison-Grant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Madison-Grant made easy work of Blackford and carried off a 13-5 victory. The Argylls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Luke Nelson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

At the plate, Andy Stanley was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Xavier Yeagy, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Mississinewa ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Alexandria-Monroe 4-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Kellen Rock was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
Mississinewa's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Madison-Grant, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Madison-Grant has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mississinewa struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
