The Wildwood Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 62-33 defeat at the hands of Leesburg. Wildwood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.
Despite the loss, Wildwood had strong showings from Louis Brown, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds, and Ashton Wilson, who scored eight points.
Wildwood has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Leesburg, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wildwood the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Hopefully Hope Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday. As for Leesburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Evans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Evans' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
