The Green Hope Falcons's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 51-42 win over Heritage. This was payback for Green Hope, who suffered a 51-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Abigail Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. Brown is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Swar Dave was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 3 steals.
Heritage's loss came despite strong showings from Nia Jones and Reagan Mondell-Long. Jones scored 16 points, while Mondell-Long dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds. Mondell-Long scored a full 28.6% of Heritage's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Green Hope's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Heritage, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Hope is on the road again on Friday and play against Leesville Road at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Heritage, they will take on Sanderson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
