Mount View is 9-1 against River View since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Golden Knights will look to defend their home field against the Raiders. Mount View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Things were looking good for Mount View after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Richwood by a score of 4-3.

Kyrece Hughes put in work no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hughes was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Mount View: the team is 8-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Hunter Muncy made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when River View and Twin Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 21-4 victory. That 17-run margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.
Like Mount View, River View also got a great game from a two-way player: Connor Auville. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Auville was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Turner Addair was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2025. Aiden Tester was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
River View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .674. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Mount View's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for River View, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mount View has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .497. However, it's not like River View struggles in that department as they've averaged .497. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mount View was able to grind out a solid win over River View in their previous meeting last Tuesday, winning 6-2. Do the Golden Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
