The IC Catholic Prep Knights will challenge the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
IC Catholic Prep was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Oak Lawn on Saturday. The Knights never let the Spartans get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory.
Ariani Zito made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Saint Ignatius College Prep made sure to put some runs up on the board against Jones on Thursday. The Wolfpack were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over the Eagles. The Wolfpack have beaten the Eagles the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. IC Catholic Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. However, it's not like Saint Ignatius College Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
