The Garfield Heights Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the First Baptist Christian Sabres at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Garfield Heights will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 494th, while First Baptist Christian is ranked 234th).
Last Saturday, Garfield Heights was beaten by Lorain 70-29. Garfield Heights has struggled against Lorain recently, as their game on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Journey Rencher , who scored 10 points. She scored a full 34.5% of Garfield Heights' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Stacia Mobley, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, First Baptist Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Andrews Osborne Academy on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 35-29 win.
Their wins bumped Garfield Heights to 2-2 and Lorain to 3-2.
