After flying high against Ash Grove last Friday, Greenfield came back down to earth. Greenfield were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday, as they fell 24-29 to Lockwood/Golden City. That makes it the first time this season Greenfield have let down their home crowd.
The loss dropped Greenfield's record to 5-3. Lockwood/Golden City's record is now 4-4.
Next week Greenfield take on Stockton/Sheldon at 7:00 PM. Stockton/Sheldon's defense better steel itself: Greenfield are averaging 37.86 points per game. As for Lockwood/Golden City, they will face off against Greenfield. Lockwood/Golden City are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
