The Kettering Captains will be home for the holidays to greet the Richmond Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Kettering's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Lakeland 40-35. Kettering has struggled against Lakeland recently, as their game on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Kettering saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Diego Rocha, who scored six points, was perhaps the best of all. Rocha is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Meredith, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Richmond's 22-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a serious blow against Yale on Friday, falling 72-34. Richmond has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kettering's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Richmond, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.
