Baseball Recap: Arbor View Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Bishop Gorman

On Friday, Arbor View faced Bishop Gorman in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Arbor View Aggies fell 13-10 to the Bishop Gorman Gaels. The Aggies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gaels earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Devin Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Reed, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Bishop Gorman, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Arbor View will be taking part in a tournament against Taylorsville at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Gorman, they will square off against Chatfield at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Chatfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bishop Gorman surely won't give up without a fight.
