The James Madison Preparatory School Patriots had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Alta Vista Charter with a 33-29 win on Wednesday.
Several Lobos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julianys Jimenez, who scored 18 points. Lorena Chavez was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
James Madison Preparatory School's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Alta Vista Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Madison Preparatory School will challenge Skyline Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alta Vista Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against South Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
