After two games on the road, North Springs is heading back home. They will take on the Chattahoochee Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Chattahoochee is ranked 83rd).
North Springs posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They had just enough and edged Cambridge out 65-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
North Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Esmer Madesko, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Hill, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Chattahoochee ended up a good deal behind Newton on Monday and lost 69-52.
North Springs' victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Chattahoochee, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.
North Springs won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, slipping by Chattahoochee 60-59. Will North Springs repeat their success, or does Chattahoochee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
