The Mansfield Senior Tygers pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-61 to Sandusky. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (59), Mansfield Senior still had to take the loss.
Mansfield Senior's loss came despite strong showings from Kyevi Roane and Dondreas Reese. Roane dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, while Reese dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Jason Henlon was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Amir Aaron, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Mansfield Senior's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sandusky, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
Mansfield Senior will take on Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lexington will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Sandusky, they will head out on the road to face off against Bowsher at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bowsher is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
