The Albert Gallatin Colonials will take on the Trinity Hillers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Albert Gallatin and Laurel Highlands have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Colonials walked away with an 8-4 win over the Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Colonials in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.
Michael Dunham and Jason Myers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Dunham tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Myers tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. He is becoming a predictor of Albert Gallatin's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-0-1 (and 2-6 when he doesn't). At bat, Dunham went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Myers scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Those two RBI gave Dunham a new career-high.

Albert Gallatin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laurel Highlands struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Trinity narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Penn-Trafford 5-4.
J.R. Rieg looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Trinity saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Falvo, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That run marked the first that Falvo scored this season.
Trinity's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Albert Gallatin, their win bumped their record up to 4-6-1.
Albert Gallatin suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Trinity when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Colonials have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
