If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Sherwood. On Friday they take on Northwood at 6:30 PM. Sherwood don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Sherwood narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Blair 29-26. The success made it back-to-back wins for Sherwood.
Meanwhile, we expected Northwood to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Blake last Friday, and they did. Northwood have to be aching after a bruising 10-44 loss to Blake.
Sherwood were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past Northwood 62-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sherwood since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
