Leominster have had to suffer through a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took the contest and then some with a 41-3 win over Shepherd Hill Regional last Saturday. That looming 38-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Leominster yet.
Meanwhile, we expected Algonquin Regional to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked St. John's, and they did. Algonquin Regional ended up on the wrong side of a painful 7-33 walloping at St. John's' hands.
Leominster's victory lifted them to 1-6 while Algonquin Regional's defeat dropped them down to 2-6. We'll see if Leominster can repeat their recent success or if Algonquin Regional bounce back and reverse their fortune.
