After two weeks on the road, Edison is heading back home. On Friday they take on Sayreville at 7:00 PM. With a combined 987.1 yards in their previous games, we can expect a fast-paced game.
Edison were able to grind out a solid victory over New Brunswick last Friday, winning 25-15. No one put up better numbers for Edison than senior Armani Bell, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Sayreville were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They took the match and then some with a 38-0 win over Monroe Township. With Sayreville ahead 24-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Their wins bumped Edison to 3-1 and Sayreville to 4-0. Edison's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Sayreville defensive front that amassed four sacks against Monroe Township, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
