The Coconut Creek Cougars were the 59-44 winner over the Pine Crest Panthers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Coconut Creek fell 63-51 to Pine Crest on Tuesday. Coconut Creek can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their three games.
Pine Crest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kareem Khouri out in front who scored 18 points. The contest was Khouri's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Wigoda, who scored 17 points.
Coconut Creek's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Pine Crest, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Coconut Creek will head out on the road to face off against South Plantation at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully South Plantation focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday. As for Pine Crest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Broward Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Broward Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pine Crest in Florida (North Broward Prep is ranked 83rd, while Pine Crest is ranked 404th).
