Pelham is 9-1 against Homewood since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pelham Panthers will square off against the Homewood Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Pelham duked it out with Prattville on Saturday. Pelham took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prattville. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rebecca Roy was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Plunkett, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Homewood didn't have quite enough to beat John Carroll Catholic on Saturday and fell 5-4.

Homewood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Felton, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Felton also hit a hit, marking her first of the season. Madison Letson was another, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Homewood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Pelham, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Tuesday's game will be a test for both team's pitchers. Pelham hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having hit 0 of their hits per game. However, it's not like Homewood struggles in that department as they've hit 0 of their hits this season. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Pelham took their win against Homewood in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pelham since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
