Garden County fell to Stuart 44-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tristen Jackson was a bright spot for the Eagles, as he ran for 95 yards and caught 1 pass for 42 yards in the loss.
Sandhills/Thedford led D2 District 9 (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 32 points on Sandhills/Thedford.
Gideon Monette was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 36 carries, he ran for 178 yards as Mullen fell to Shelton. Teammate Adam Starr added to the ground attack by rushing for 36 yards.
Sandhills/Thedford's Jacey Nutter and Lee have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Nutter has thrown for 1,009 yards this season, while Lee has 35 catches for 575 yards. The Broncos' Monette leads the league in rushing yards with 924.
In 169 carries Monette has put up 924 yards this year.
Josh Deines' team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 684 from 758. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 34-32 victory over the Knights last week.
