With a playoff game on the line, the Springstead Eagles rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They strolled past the Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 83-65. Springstead's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Austin Nicholson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Niko Cordello, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 2 assists.
Springstead pushed their record up to 16-9 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Mitchell, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-14.
Springstead will take on Wiregrass Ranch at TBD on Thursday. Wiregrass Ranch has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,881 points over their last 25 games. Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
