Mount Airy Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rockbridge Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Mount Airy Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ava McGlaughlin. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with 11 rebounds. McGlaughlin is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.
Mount Airy Christian Academy has fallen quite a ways from their 17-8 record last season and are now at 1-10. As for Rockbridge Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
