Big Game from Johnson As Pender Won 68-30
Starting off the list is Pender's Jeremiah Johnson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Johnson rushed for 218 yards and seven touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Hobbton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Johnson. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Johnson saw the Wildcats), he rushed for 377 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

South Columbus Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Rush Blackwell
Rush Blackwell's big game helped extend South Columbus's winning streak to five on Friday. Blackwell was dynamite, rushing for 84 yards and three touchdowns. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
South Columbus' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Blackwell and South Columbus will square off against Heide Trask at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Briar Johnson's big game helped extend South Columbus's winning streak to five on Friday. Nobody could stop Johnson as he rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns.
For the year, Johnson has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 77.2 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 3.38 rushing yards per game.

Coryyon Moore Makes It Two for Pender
Another Pender player making an appearance on this list is Coryyon Moore. He rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. He has become a key player for Pender: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
On the year, Moore has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 65.1 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had one rushing touchdown.

Hobbton had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Hill it was a similar story. Hill rushed for 291 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 17.1 yards per carry the last time he and the Wildcats duked it out back in October of 2023.
