Indian Hills took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wayne Valley Indians 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Braves have posted since May 8, 2024.
Audrey Amoruso made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and five unearned) runs off 13 hits. Amoruso was even better at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Liz Silletti, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Herrick, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
