The Granby Comets are taking a road trip to  face off against the Norcom Greyhounds  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many  points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Granby came into their game  two weeks ago off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were  outmatched by Norfolk Academy and fell  49-7. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 33rd).
 Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Norcom beat Norview 12-8 on Friday. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Pilots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 Norcom's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Granby, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Granby won a  matchup that couldn't have been any closer  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, slipping by Norcom 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
