Biglerville is 2-8 against Fairfield since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Canners will head out on the road to challenge the Knights at 4:15 p.m. Biglerville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Biglerville let Delone Catholic stack four runs on them in the fifth inning on Monday but luckily Biglerville prevailed anyway. The Canners sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Squires.

Sydney McCleaf made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run.
In other batting news, Jocelyn Miller and Ava Peterson did most of the damage at the plate: Miller went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Peterson went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Leah Strawsburg was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairfield). They put the hurt on Hanover with a sharp 22-4 win on Monday. Considering the Knights have won six matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Biglerville, Fairfield also got a great game from a two-way player: Maddy Payne. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Payne was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kaylee Stone was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with six RBI and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Kreitz, who went 2-for-4 with five runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.
Fairfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Biglerville's record now sits at 10-4. As for Fairfield, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Biglerville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383. However, it's not like Fairfield struggles in that department as they've averaged .365. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Biglerville beat Fairfield 7-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Canners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
