Jazmine Enriquez was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. Enriquez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played.
In other batting news, Keira Dominguez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Krysti Thao, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.
McNair hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, River Islands had to start their season on the road last Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 12-0 to Franklin.
McNair's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for River Islands, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
