DuPont was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in Blue Hen Flight - A. Earlier in the week, the Tigers triumphed over Delcastle Vo-Tech 38-7.
Middletown took down Concord 55-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
DuPont's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ramsey Lowery threw for 95 and two touchdowns and Jesse Hall had 47 yards receiving. On the ground Jonathan Bell chipped in 40 yards. Quadree Henderson helped DuPont's passing attack out by catching two balls for 40 yards.
DuPont's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lowery has thrown for 471 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Henderson has 11 catches for 208 yards. Lowery also leads the league in rushing with 121 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Newark and Appoquinimink. The Yellowjackets enters the game ranked 17th in the state, while Appoquinimink ranks 20th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Cavaliers take on Zeblum Blum's team. Middletown has allowed 25 points this season, while the Tigers have given up 28. Mark Delpercio's team allowed 6 points last week as it bested the Raiders.
The Cavaliers led Blue Hen Flight - A in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Concord.
