The Williamsburg Academy Stallions will be playing at home against the Lee Academy Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
Williamsburg Academy pushed their score all the way to 70 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 80-70 to Florence Christian.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Caleb Wright, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Conrad Balder, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Lee Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past King's Academy 49-46.
Williamsburg Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Lee Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Williamsburg Academy took their win against Lee Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 58-33. Will Williamsburg Academy repeat their success, or does Lee Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
