H-L-V won the last time they faced Lone Tree, and things went their way on Friday, too. H-L-V took their contest against Lone Tree 40-26. The success made it back-to-back wins for H-L-V.
H-L-V's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 16 points in the first half. Lone Tree came up with 12 to make it 16-12 heading into the break. The offense for H-L-V continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 24 points to put the game away. The game pushed Lone Tree down to 1-3 and pulled H-L-V up to the reverse at 3-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. H-L-V will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against Winfield-Mt. Union in two weeks at 7:00 PM. Lone Tree will look to defend their home turf next week against New London at 7:00 PM.
