Even though The Esparto Spartans scored an imposing 32 points on Friday, the Golden Sierra Grizzlies still came out on top. Golden Sierra walked away with a 42-32 win over Esparto. The win made it back-to-back wins for Golden Sierra.
Golden Sierra was led to victory by Aiden Pullin and Gavin Miller. Pullin rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Miller rushed for 208 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per carry. Miller hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games.
Despite the loss, Esparto still got an impressive performance from Antonio Seastrunk jr, who rushed for 247 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Golden Sierra has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Esparto, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Golden Sierra will head out on the road to face off against Ripon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ripon Christian will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Esparto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
