The Central Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 68-36 defeat at the hands of Lauderdale County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.
Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Maggie Huffaker, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Huffaker has scored all season. Schuylar Simmons was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Lauderdale County, they pushed their record up to 23-1 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lauderdale County also has no future games currently scheduled.
