After flying high against the Kingsway Christian Eagles on Friday, the Harding Skippers came back down to earth. Harding fell to the Panthers 31-25. Harding was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Harding's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Madisen Mcfadden, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds, and Madison Hunt who scored seven points along with two steals. That was a full 48% of Harding's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Harding's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.7 points per game. As for Put-in-Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Harding will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Lakers at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Pymatuning Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Thursday. Put-in-Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
