South Mecklenburg had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves 63-19. The Sabres have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Ballantyne Ridge saw an underclassman step up: freshman Natanya Chando posted eight points and eight rebounds. Eden Aklilu also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

South Mecklenburg pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.
