Parkway Northwest took down Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush 67-48. Given Parkway Northwest's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush is ranked 748th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Parkway Northwest was led to victory by Xavier Dyer and Kahleem Jordan. Dyer scored 18 points, while Jordan scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dyer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Gladden, who scored nine points.
The win makes it two in a row for Parkway Northwest and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkway Northwest will take on Randolph Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, they will be playing at home against Mariana Bracetti Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mariana Bracetti Academy is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
