The Evansville Christian Eagles entered their tilt with the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces with 14 consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with 15. Evansville Christian came out on top against Mt. Carmel by a score of  60-49  on Saturday. Given Evansville Christian's advantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 22nd in Indiana, while Mt. Carmel is ranked 389th in Illinois), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Josiah Dunham was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 28 points along with five  assists. Another player making a difference was  Luke Davis, who  scored ten points along with six  rebounds and two  blocks.
 Evansville Christian pushed their record up to 19-1 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Mt. Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
 Evansville Christian will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Henderson County at 7:00  p.m. As for Mt. Carmel, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Grayville at 7:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Grayville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three games.
