The DSST: Cedar Falcons were the 34-26 winner over the Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. DSST: Cedar took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Addenbrooke Classical Academy. DSST: Cedar has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Katelyn Fortune, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Fortune also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Raniya Paul was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six steals.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy was led to victory by Peyton Trujillo and Lucia Rodriguez. Trujillo dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Rodriguez dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.
DSST: Cedar now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DSST: Cedar will take on DSST: Green Valley Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Front Range Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
