The Niangua Cardinals put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Hurley at home to the tune of 64-14. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-6.
Ethan Scheetz was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Niangua's points. Clayton Henderson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 4 steals.
Niangua's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Hurley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Niangua will head out on the road to face off against Chadwick at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hurley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasant Hope at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
