Meanwhile, Teague was able to grind out a solid victory over Buffalo on Tuesday, taking the game 43-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Teague.
Bethanah Owens continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 24 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 12 times she's played. A'shaiya Jones was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Groesbeck dropped their record down to 12-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.8 points per game. As for Teague, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.
Groesbeck was able to grind out a solid win over Teague in their previous meeting on January 2nd, winning 43-34. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Owens, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds.
