Riverview Sarasota has won 19 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Palmetto has won 19 straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Rams will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Riverview Sarasota's pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so Palmetto's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Riverview Sarasota's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Cardinal Mooney by a score of 5-0.

The result came thanks to Allison Cole's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Riverview Sarasota saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan DeLarue, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that DeLarue hit this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palmetto). They put the hurt on Braden River with a sharp 16-6 victory on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Emma Hague spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Savanna Durrance was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Craft, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Palmetto kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive matches.
Riverview Sarasota's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Palmetto, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Riverview Sarasota has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 13.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Palmetto struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Riverview Sarasota came out on top in a nail-biter against Palmetto in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-0. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
