Beavercreek and Centerville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Beavers will venture away from home to take on the Elks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Beavercreek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Beavercreek took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Springboro 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Beavers have posted against the Panthers since April 10, 2022.
Kayta Barrett was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Barrett was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Annessa Stamper 2026 was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Mckenna Beck 2027 was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Beavercreek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Centerville posted their closest win since April 11th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Lincoln 5-4.
Caitlyn Belcher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Natalie Carr and Chayse Adkins did most of the damage at the plate: Carr went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI, while Adkins went 3-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenley Bakan, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Centerville is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Beavercreek, their record is now 12-7.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Beavercreek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. However, it's not like Centerville struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Beavercreek suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Centerville when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Beavers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
