The Belleville West Maroons's five-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They took down Sacred Heart-Griffin 65-47. That's another feather in the cap for Belleville West, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Belleville West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Myles Liddell, who scored 12 points. Daylen Byrd was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Belleville West's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they have fallen quite a ways from their 31-4 record last season and are now at 6-10.
Belleville West will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Althoff Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on January 17th. Sacred Heart-Griffin will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lanphier at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th.
