The Dansville Aggies will take on the Waverly Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Waverly will be up against a hot Dansville team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Aggies put the hurt on Olivet with a sharp 15-1 win on Thursday.
Maddi Carter was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Carter was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabby Hollon, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Chloe Moore was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Dansville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Waverly, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Fowlerville 10-2 on Monday.
Nevaeh Larner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Daniela Anzaldua was excellent, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Bella Fernandez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Dansville's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Waverly, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Dansville has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Waverly struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dansville might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Waverly when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Aggies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
